Setup Instructions

Access Calendar Settings

Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Calendar in your BuildBetter dashboard

Select Google Calendar

Click the “Connect Google Calendar” button

Authorize BuildBetter

Sign in to your Google account and approve the required permissions

Select Calendars

Choose which calendars BuildBetter should monitor for meetings

Configure Recording Rules

Set up rules for which meetings should be automatically recorded
BuildBetter requires calendar read access to identify meetings but does not modify your calendar events.

Meeting Detection

Once your calendar is connected, BuildBetter will:
  1. Scan for upcoming meetings
  2. Identify meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet)
  3. Prepare to join meetings based on your recording rules
  4. Notify you of scheduled recordings
Meeting links are automatically detected from calendar event details. Ensure your meeting invites include the conferencing links for optimal performance.

Recording Rules

Control which meetings are recorded with customizable rules:
  • Record all meetings
  • Only record meetings you organize
  • Only record meetings with specific titles/keywords
  • Only record meetings with certain participants
  • Record during business hours only
  • Record on specific days
  • Minimum/maximum meeting duration
  • Recording lead time
  • Never record meetings with specific keywords
  • Exclude certain participants
  • Block certain time periods
  • Skip recurring meetings
